Peter Kay's Phoenix Nights returned for a very special series of live shows in aid of Comic Relief.

All the stars of the hit comedy re-united for the occasion and cast and crew pulled together to put on all shows even after actor Ted Robbins took ill on stage on opening night. He is now on the road to recovery and an additional performance was scheduled for audience members who were there that night.

Around 200,000 people came to see Phoenix Nights Live in all and the show received some rave reviews. Most importantly, it raised a huge amount of money for Comic Relief.

In addition to the show's contribution, Manchester Arena staff members donated their time to sell official Comic Relief Merchanise including t-shirts designed by t-shirts by Anya Hindmarch, Matthew Williamson and Diane von Furstenberg, the Snotty Professor & Supernose pens, Karate Konk pin badges and Comic Relief's trademark red noses. This, combined with further donations from staff, raised almost £35,000 for the charity.

Here's a photo of some of our merchandise team getting into the Comic Relief spirit!

Don't forget Red Nose Day is back on Friday 13 March. Comic Relief spends the money raised by Red Nose Day to help people living unimaginably tough lives across the UK and Africa.
