Back in 2006, the multi-talented Robbie Williams (a UNICEF UK ambassador) had the brainwave to start Soccer Aid, a charity football match played by celebrities and football legends from England and the Rest of the World to raise funds for UNICEF and change the lives of children around the world.

This year will be the fifth match and it all kicks off at 8pm on Sunday 8 June, at Old Trafford here in Manchester.

Robbie's England team will be playing to defend their crown and keep the Soccer Aid trophy. Comedian John Bishop, McFly and McBusted star Danny Jones, pop star Olly Murs and Robbie's Take That band mate Mark Owen are some of the celebrities who will team up with football legends like Teddy Sheringham and David Seaman to play against those on the Rest of the World team, which will be captained by actor Michael Sheen and will include stage and screen star James McAvoy, American TV personality Adam Richman, westlife member Westlife and professionals Jaap Stam and Andriy Shevchenko.

Tickets for the match at Old Trafford will be available on match day. They cost from just £20 for adults and £5 for children under 16 and over 65s. All profits from ticket sales go to UNICEF.

Once the big match is over, Robbie will return to his Swings Both Ways Live tour, which brings him back to Phones 4u Arena for 3 shows on 29 and 30 June and 2 July. There are a few tickets still available. To see the superstar live, book now with Eventim
